About Sleek Editor

A fast, private, browser-based video editor built for creators who just want to cut, style and ship videos.

Sleek Editor started with a simple idea: editing video should not require installing gigabytes of software or uploading your footage to somebody's cloud. The entire editor — timeline, preview renderer, effects engine, color wheels and exporter — is written in HTML, CSS and JavaScript and runs inside your browser tab. Your files stay on your machine, your projects live in your browser's storage, and the app keeps working even when you are offline.

Despite that, it does not feel like a toy. You get a real multi-track timeline with keyframes and an easing editor, A/B transitions, parameterized effects, DaVinci-style color wheels, voiceover recording, beat detection and a smart export pipeline that renders up to 4K with your hardware encoder. The interface is deliberately minimal: sharp panels, a monochrome "S." identity, and keyboard shortcuts everywhere (press Ctrl/Cmd+K for the command palette).

How it is possible

Modern browsers ship everything a small NLE needs: the File API reads your media, Canvas and WebGL-class rendering draw the preview, the Web Audio API mixes your tracks, and MediaRecorder encodes the final video with hardware acceleration. Sleek Editor composes those building blocks into one focused tool — no server, no accounts required, no uploads.

The catch (honesty section)

Because everything runs in your browser, the practical limits are your device's: very long 4K timelines are happier on a strong computer, and export speed depends on your CPU/GPU rather than a server farm. For social clips, YouTube videos, tutorials, promos and quick turnarounds, it is exactly the right tool — and the price is unbeatable.
