Terms of use

Last updated: October 2026. Plain-language terms for using Sleek Editor.

1. The service

Sleek Editor is a free, browser-based video editing tool provided as-is. It runs entirely in your browser; we host the static files of the site but play no part in the editing, which happens on your device.

2. Your content and your responsibility

You keep all rights to the media you edit. You confirm that you own or have the rights to use any content you import, and that your exports do not break any law or anyone's rights. Because your files never leave your device, we have no ability to access, moderate or recover them.

3. No warranty

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Video editing is complex; save your projects, keep originals of important media, and do not use the tool for the only copy of irreplaceable footage. Browser storage can be cleared by you or by your browser, and exported results depend on your device's capabilities.

4. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any lost projects, lost media, lost profits or other damages arising from the use or inability to use the service.

5. Acceptable use

Do not use the site to create unlawful content, and do not attempt to break, overload or interfere with the site or its advertising. Automated abuse of the AdSense-funded free service may result in rate limiting.

6. Ads

The free service is funded by advertising. By using the site you acknowledge that ads may be shown on the dashboard and, at reasonable intervals, in the editor. Ad content is the responsibility of the ad network (Google AdSense).

7. Changes

We may update these terms as the product evolves; the date above shows the current version. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
